The crowd became very angry at the referees after a flagrant foul was called on Kent State’s Phillip Whittington. Security was called to the scorer’s table because they were afraid fans would get violent toward the refs standing there reviewing a call.

The Covelli Centre is not only home to the Phantoms but it is also a popular concert venue as well as the host of a campaign stop by President Donald Trump when he was campaigning for Republican candidates around the country.
